Truck form
The Truck form enables you to create and edit a truck. You can specify the truck ID, license details, BAT number, tare weight, and other information for a truck.
If you are using the CreateNewTruck (on page 1) business task in your gate configuration, new trucks processed at that gate stage are added to N4 based on the truck information entered at the gate. For more information on business tasks, see Business Tasks form (on page 1).
To add or edit a truck:
Optionally, in the Truck Id field, enter the truck ID assigned to the truck by the trucking company.
The uniqueness of the truck ID is determined by the ROADGATE022 (TRUCK_ID_IS_UNIQUE) (on page 1) configuration setting. If ROADGATE022 is set to true, every truck ID must be unique and the Last Trucking Company field is optional. However, if ROADGATE022 is set to false, the truck ID and the trucking company combination must be unique and the Last Trucking Company field is required.
Optionally, in the Truck License field, enter the truck license number.
In the License State field, enter the state/province that issued the truck license number.
In the License Expiration Date field, enter the expiration date for the truck license number.
For more information, see Entering dates.
Enter any optional information for the truck.

The following table lists the optional fields in the Truck form:
Field Label |
Description |
---|---|
BAT Number |
Enter a BAT number that uniquely identifies the truck for your facility. |
Internal |
Select this check box for trucks used internally. During gate processing, these trucks follow the gate configuration selected in the Gate Configuration (Internal Trucks) field of the Gate form (on page 1). If an internal gate configuration is not specified, these trucks follow the same gate configuration as the external trucks. |
Tag ID |
Enter the RFID (AEI Tag) of the truck. The Tag ID is the internal hardware ID of the AEI Tag. Use this field to associate the hardware ID with the truck record. In addition to the Truck form, the Tag ID field is also available in the Gate Lane Monitor view (on page 1) and the Fix Scans form (on page 1). |
Tare Weight |
Enter the tare weight of the truck. The tare weight can be used to calculate the gross weight of the container. |
Safe Weight |
Enter the safe weight for the truck. The safe weight is the combined maximum weight of all equipment and can be checked at the outgate to ensure that the truck is not overloaded. |
Status |
Select the status for the truck:
If you do not select a value for Status, N4 assumes the truck status as OK. To validate the truck status at the gate and to reject a gate transaction if the truck status is BANNED, include the RejectTruckBanned (on page 1) business task in the gate configuration. |
Last Trucking Company |
Select the last trucking company that used the truck. This field is also automatically updated from the other gate forms. If ROADGATE022 (on page 1) is set to true, the Last Trucking Company field is optional. However, if ROADGATE022 is set to false, the Last Trucking Company field is required. |
Last Truck Driver |
Select the last truck driver associated with the truck. This field is also automatically updated from the other gate forms. |
Notes |
Enter any miscellaneous notes for the truck. |
